講義概要
英語による学術的文章を書くために必要な発想法，論旨の展開，効果的な表現手法を学ぶための演習をおこなう。
講義の目的
In this class, students will study several registers and genres of written English, with the aim of understanding how to write an academic article suitable for publication in a scientific journal. The concept of English as an International Language will be underlined in all activities.
講義計画
1. Writing about yourself and your ambitions informally. Understanding English as an International Language.
2. Writing your CV.
3. Writing in emails and on internet sites.
4. Exploring the Blogosphere.
5. Writing for academic journals.
6. Understanding different registers of writing.
7. Is Globish our goal?
8. Dozens of Englishes
9-13. Workshopping the journal article through oral presentations and active feedback.
14. Test.
