Outline of lecture

I. Learn English for special purpose of International Civil Engineers
II 1. Presentations, 2. Writing assignments.

Purpose of lecture

The course is designed for students to attain the following objectives:
(1) To understand the basic terminology in different areas of Civil Engineering.
(2) To listen to short presentations by professors and participate in the discussion.
(3) To be able to make PowerPoint presentations on Civil Engineering topics.
(4) To be introduced to Civil Engineering research topics.

Evaluation

PPT- Assignments - 30%, W-Assignments - 40%, Video Quizzes - 10% and Final PPT presentation - 20%.
Students must take Final Exam to get credit for the course.
