This course offers an effective way of listening in English. Students are required to attend all classes and give a presentation in English (4min). All texts are read in English, and discussion and presentations are conducted in English.
The chief objective of the course is to improve students’ skills in listening in English. By listening to various interviews and watching DVDs of academic lectures, students will be able to comprehend academic issues presented in English. Through preparing and delivering the required presentation, students will study how to respond to questions from audiences and hold the audiences’ attention with visual information.
